Is using a real name for an artist gallery/account name effective?

United States
I graduated Full Sail University as Valedictorian, where I received a Bachelors in Game Art. I worked mostly in 3D space with Maya, Zbrush and the UDK Editor, while also learning 2D design elements for games.

Outside of my studies, I have over 10 years of experience painting with digital media such as Adobe's Photoshop software.

Former artist tag: H.D."Happy Duck"
My replacement tablet has arrived! It is a wave 2 supposedly, though I really have no reason to really doubt wacom as they have provided really good customer service, Also it came with windows 8.1 instead of just 8.

In anycase, I spent the day reinstalling all of my software. I named it Midna, after the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess guide.

So I have a looot of catching up to do! I'll be leaving some comments probably tomorrow night (I have a baby shower to attend in the afternoon) and hopefully I'll have some artwork up soon :)

Sorry I’ve been kinda missing guys, my tablet has finally experienced the dreaded “plugged in, not charging” bug that the cintiq companion suffers from.

I've been experimenting with letting the battery completely drain so as not even the red “in reserve battery charge now” light has died. At that point it finally DOES charge which leads me to wonder if its a faulty battery. I know its not the cable as it charges my friends cintiq perfectly fine.

But I digress, I finally called Wacom support today and spoke to someone about the state of the “plugged in not charging” issue affecting tablets.

Apparently it was an issue affecting most wave 1 tablets and wave 2 tablets seem to have solved this issue. Supposedly they are going to be sending me a wave 2 tablet after they receive my tablet and ensure it is truely defective.

But I’m going to have to wait 10-15 business days. Sooo.. I will probably do some paper sketching in the meantime but for now I am unable to do any digital art as my intuos pen broke many moons ago and I am too poor to buy a replacement.

Ill be shipping my tablet out tomorrow.
I miss it already.

But I will be floating around and probably getting to DA updates in the meantime.

So my diploma came in the mail and apparently I made Valedictorian and was uninformed, not that I was able to afford going to my graduation anyway as it was in florida, but now I really wish I could have.

But yeah, I've really gotten back into my artflow, however I'm having A.D.D. it feels like since I am working on several pieces at once rather then focusing full force on once. This is because I'm sick of sitting there staring at a picture deciding what to do with it, and felt moving onto another piece while I think is a better use of my time.

I added a "current work" widget to my page so you can see my progress on trades/commissions/etc. Thought it would be better than updating every journal, though it will not include the work my husband and I are doing on our personal upcoming projects.
I also have a job opportunity with a game company that I am currently doing an art test for, wish me luck!

I should begetting to my DA updates later today, so hopefully some of you should hear from me.
Lastly, I'm hoping to start doing Artist Spotlights again this saturday, but I think I will move them to every other saturday as I apparently don't watch as many artists as I thought. You guys should suggest some to me!
